It’s Sunday; you’re on vacation in Utila. For now, Monday doesn’t exist and you can do whatever the hell you want. Cocktails? Sure, why not; you’ve got nothing to do tomorrow so let’s make tonight count.

Not. So. Fast. I feel that it’s my duty to inform you of anything that may inhibit your vacation fun.

According to a recently enacted law here in Honduras, there is to be no alcohol sold in the entirety of the country, whether it be in a store, a bar, or a restaurant, after 5pm on Sundays.

Still planning on drinking your face off? Better enact your game plan early. Your Sunday is about to consist of day drinking (what’s new? You’re on vacation.) and most importantly, stocking up. Don’t confuse the concepts of distribution and consumption here though. You can drink all you want after 5pm; you just can’t buy anything.
