Good morning!  And well wishes for the rest of the day too!  I’m Kelly. As a true morning person, I liken myself to toast: you put me down at night and in the morning *DING* Up like toast!  Every day is a good one so long as the sun rises.

Dirty thirty!  I hit the big 3-0 last year and am feeling like “a leaf on the wind… watch how I soar”  (Firefly).  I left my job taking care of families affected by Alzheimer’s disease (which I loved) to see what the world has to offer along side my boyfriend Alan.  It may seem crazy, but so far 23 hours a day/7 days a week has been working for us – I’d say it was 24 hours, but come on, everyone poops.

I love the chaos of an energetic life and the planning that goes into keeping it that way! Hiking, climbing, cooking, reading, skydiving, snorkeling… really, put an “ing” at the end of it and you’ll have at least peaked my interest.  I’ve always had an array of passions and pursuits; I suppose that is what gives me a zeal for travel.

When you’re out and about in the world there are so many people to meet, places to see, and experiences to be had.  Perhaps to the contrary, I am also a firm believer that you don’t have to leave home to have a good time and see something new, but it sure helps to give you some perspective.

My Advice: Start today, use what means you have accessible, and don’t be afraid to fail.  Walk to the end of your block, run a couple miles from home, bike across the state, drive to the opposite end of the country, fly to somewhere you’ve never heard of.  To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, You are only as happy as you make up your mind to be.
